Founders & principals

Strider Steele, Partner · Senior Electrical Engineer · Project Manager

Strider SteeleP.E., LEED® AP

Partner · Senior Electrical Engineer · Project Manager

Partner and senior electrical engineer with PE registrations in over 30 states, Strider leads design and coordination on mixed-use, warehouse, commercial interior, restaurant/retail, and multifamily projects — covering power distribution, utility coordination, lighting, controls, and life safety. A Kansas State Architectural Engineering grad, he brings calm leadership and sharp problem-solving to every project he touches. Outside of work, Strider is all about lake life with the family — cheering on his daughter at twirling competitions and looking up (just barely) at his son, who is nearly as tall as he is. His mom is V3's unofficial-official "V3 Catering" manager, and the Steele family is a vital part of the culture that makes V3 feel like home.

Rodney Bates, Partner · Senior Mechanical Engineer · Project Manager

Rodney BatesP.E., LEED® AP

Partner · Senior Mechanical Engineer · Project Manager

Partner with 17+ years of industry experience and PE registrations in 13 states, Rodney has led everything from multi-million-dollar mission-critical projects and high-rises to sustainable boutique hotels and LEED-certified restaurants. A Baylor-trained mechanical engineer, he pairs deep technical chops with a steady, easy-to-work-with style that clients and teammates count on. Off the clock, Rodney is all-in on family life — chasing his kids between soccer fields and dance recitals, wakesurfing together on the lake, and escaping to the cooler air and mountains of Colorado whenever he can.

Shawn Warren, Partner · Senior Plumbing Engineer · Project Manager

Shawn WarrenP.E., CPD, LEED AP

Partner · Senior Plumbing Engineer · Project Manager

Partner and senior plumbing engineer with 20+ years of design experience spanning multifamily, mixed-use, hospitality, warehouse, commercial interiors, medical, education, and light industrial work. Shawn's primary focus is plumbing and mechanical design, and he's known for partnering closely with architects and owners to untangle the trickiest design challenges with a steady, get-it-done attitude. A Mechanical Engineering grad from the University of North Texas, he pairs deep technical know-how with the kind of practical thinking that comes from actually loving the craft. Off the clock, Shawn is rolling on the Jiu-Jitsu mats, wrenching on cars, or out farming the land around his house. Family time means cheering on his kids at barrel racing and other equestrian events — and laughing through plenty of just-being-silly moments in between.

Electrical engineer and former college athlete, Nolan brings the discipline, focus, and team-first mindset of competitive sport to his design work — supporting power distribution, lighting, and life-safety systems across a wide mix of project types. He's a sharp problem-solver who genuinely enjoys untangling a tricky design challenge. Outside of work, Nolan is happiest with a puzzle in his hands — Rubik's cubes especially — and is always up for the next thing to figure out.

Tony Brouillette, MEP Production Specialist

Tony Brouillette

MEP Production Specialist

With 37+ years in MEP consulting, Tony is the kind of seasoned pro every team wants in the room. He's fluent in AutoCAD and Revit and has spent decades leading production efforts across tenant finish-out, food service, healthcare, automotive, education, hospitality, and light industrial projects. An Associate's in Building Construction from Texas State Technical College got him started, but the depth comes from a long career of mentoring drafters, sharpening standards, and making sure every set of drawings goes out the door clean, coordinated, and constructible.
