Plumbing Engineering
Plumbing design that reduces RFIs in the field. Fixture counts, water/gas demand, sanitary venting, and storm drainage worked through with the civil and structural teams so things route cleanly.

Capabilities
- Domestic cold, hot & recirculation design
- Sanitary & vent systems
- Storm drainage & roof drain sizing
- Natural gas & medical gas
- Grease, sand & oil interceptors
- Backflow prevention & water hammer mitigation
Deliverables
- Plumbing plans, isometrics & schedules
- Water & gas demand calculations
- Fixture unit & DFU tabulations
- Specifications & submittal review
Sectors we serve
How we work
- 1
Fixture & demand tabulation
We tabulate fixture units, water and gas demand, and DFUs from the architectural plans — not from a similar past project.
- 2
Riser & routing design
Domestic, sanitary, vent, storm, and gas risers stacked and routed with structural and architectural so wet walls, soffits, and roof drains land where they should.
- 3
Specialty systems
Grease, sand, and oil interceptors; medical gas; water hammer arrestors; backflow prevention — sized and located to meet plumbing code and the operator's workflow.
- 4
Submittal & CA support
We review submittals against the spec, answer field RFIs, and adjust isometrics when site conditions require it.
Frequently asked
- Do you size grease interceptors?
- Yes — based on fixture flow, drain length, and the local jurisdiction's sizing methodology, whether gravity or hydromechanical.
- Can you design medical gas?
- Yes, for dental, outpatient, and procedural environments. We follow NFPA 99 and coordinate with the equipment vendor's alarm and zone valve requirements.
- Do you handle storm drainage?
- Yes — roof drain sizing, overflow strategy, and coordination with civil for site discharge are part of our standard plumbing scope.
